How Knox got his name

Matthew Knox Anderson. What is in a name? Unlike the other kids, his name was a long time in coming. We chose Matthew after the Gospel of Matthew because of its wonderful portrait of our Savior. Knox is because of two men. One is John Knox, in honor of our Scottish Presbyterian heritage. The other man was Knox Chamblim, one of Jon's professors at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Dr. Chamblin not only expounded the beauties of the Gospel for us in Pauline Epistles but lived them out before us as well. If Knox had lived and grown to have the Christian character of these two men, we would have been delighted and blessed.
