Blanket Delivery

We took some baby blankets Monday that had been donated by a great bunch of friends to the PICU in Temple. I was kind of surprised they let all the kids in the PICU but they didn't hesitate. The room Knox had been in was empty and they let us go in there and be together. We mostly just looked out the window and Jack remembered about the time a helicopter landed while we were there visiting and we talked about that and just stuff in general. One of the Dr.'s that cared for Knox and a couple of the nurses were there. I was hoping there would be some familar people knowing it was of course impossible to see everyone I wanted to see as they are all on different shifts. It was rather soothing to see them. Maybe that seems weird but it was. Here is a picture of the kids giving them the box of blankets.

The staff in the back is Jennifer, a nurse that cared for Knox a couple of days, Dr. Wick, and Shelly, a nurse that cared for him about a week. I haven't written much about his stay in the hospital but these guys and a number of others loving cared for him AND us. When we got home Anne Michal said she wanted to be a PICU nurse at Scott & White when she grew up.
